The Application for Direct Pursuit to Doctoral Program for the Fall Semester of 2024
The application for direct pursuit of the doctoral program for the fall semester of 2024 is now open. If you are interested in the Ph.D. program, please take note of the following rules and submit the application materials to the office before Friday, April 11, 2024.
- Sources of Law: All rules are followed by the Direct Pursuit of Doctoral Program Requirements of National Cheng Kung University.
- Application Eligibility: All applicants must hold a recognized first year of the MA Program, with the following criteria,
- The minimum average grade of 80 or higher in overall courses, with hold of potential researcher.
- Applicants with ranking in top 2/3 of the class, with hold of potential researcher.
※ Students in the first year of the MA Program may deliver transcripts later, but those who do not meet the above eligibility criteria won’t be accepted.
- Documentary Review (50%):
- 2 letters of recommendation from associate professors (including jointly appointed professors) of the applicant’s current or related department, school, institute, or degree program.
- Ph.D. Research Proposal
- Personal Information/CV/Resume
- Transcripts for Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees
- Submission papers, patents, award-winning works, language proficiency certificates, or any other materials that may benefit the review procedures.
- Interview(50%): The full English interview is scheduled for May 4th, 2024.
