Wanderlust in Azure-OHDND Spring Resident Group Exhibition

Everyone has a “Tainan” in mind; everyone’s Tainan has his or her own color.

Our creation began from the leisurely streets in Tainan. The genres of our artworks included illustration, photography, embroidery, handmade book, etc. Through our group project and individual works, we explored and recorded the local culture, landscape, and the urban appearance in Tainan. The aim was to locate Dongning Dorm as the center, and draw on the historical significance of the words “Dongning” and “Tainan”.

Azure, the deep blue in Japanese traditional colors. The blue is visible after being rinsed in the water. Or the blue is developed through the sunlight. Although azure is rare in the streets of Tainan, it frequently appears in our projects.

We use azure to present Tainan in a new impression by displaying the apposition with different districts and eras. While strolling in the alleyways, we recorded the cultural landscape of Tainan. Our wanderlust in azure connects the ordinary scenes and timeslices into a series of visual prose.
